Wow. Aside from a quick posting on the Pop! Goes the Icon Facebook page, I haven’t really publicized or talked about this new home for The Utopian. But sure enough, you people have found it and have been perusing all the pages in the new layout.
We had no intention of moving The Utopian to its own site originally. It was supposed to stay hosted on the Pop! Goes the Icon website, where it’s been since the April 15 launch. But a few things happened to change that. First, a few folks noted the navigation was a little wonky (with each chapter in its own gallery that had to be opened, after digging down through the PGTI navigation). Then, pal Robert noted that he’d be happy to help promote the comic … once it had its own home. This, plus my own dissatisfaction with the display, led me to get the URL (TheUtopianComic.com) and set up a fresh install of Wordpress with the popular webcomic theme, ComicPress.
And here we are. Amidst all this new techy stuff, yes, there IS a new chapter coming today, the last two pages of the opening salvo now known as “Something Has to Change.” Due to some scheduling gaffes, the April 29 installment will be up tonight, as opposed to the usual 7 a.m. posting time. And next week, we jump right into our next chapter with the first episode of “Somebody Has to Change It.”
I hope you enjoy the bigger, easier-to-navigate format, and as always, please leave us comments or drop an e-mail with your feedback. And if you really love what you see, why don’t you subscribe as well? Thanks.
