Once again, we’ll be celebrating the release of a commemorative comic anthology designed to both benefit the festival and highlight local talent: Tales from Fremont Street, a murder mystery told by 10 Vegas-based writers and artists. Most of those creators — including Warren Wucinich, Deryl Skelton and Victor Moya — will be signing, sketching and chatting at the PGTI booth throughout the day.

As well, we’ll have our full selection of titles, including Omega Comics Presents, The Utopian, and last year’s benefit anthology, Tales from the Boneyard, from which sales have raised more than $1000 for the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Foundation.

The Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival is entirely free and open to all ages. Visit the website for more information about guests, panels, film screenings, music, and exhibitors.

Yes, if you visit table 237 in the convention’s Small Press area, you’ll find Perez and Taylor selling comics, signing undergarments and shooting rubber bands at passers-by. And we expect to see you there.

Phoenix Comicon expands this year to five floors combined across the North building of the Phoenix Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency, and includes top-shelf guests such as Stan Lee, Wil Wheaton, Leonard Nimoy, J. Scott Campbell, Todd McFarlane and lots of others whose names we didn’t bother looking up. It’s also pretty cheap to attend — four-day passes are only $35! Crazy, right?

Come by our table and meet editor/Utopian creator Pj Perez, as well as frequent Omega Comics Presents contributor John Bivens. We’ll have a whole slew of Pop! Goes the Icon goodies there, including the latest issue of Omega Comics Presents, the Utopian trade paperback and the Tales from the Boneyard one-shot. If you’re nice, the guys will probably do sketches, sign comics and kiss babies.

• Frequent Omega Comics Presents contributor Dino Caruso will be appearing at Wizard World Toronto Comic Con from March 18 to 20 at the Direct Energy Centre. We’re guessing he’ll have lots of stuff to sell ya. Bring cash, eh?
• That same weekend in Chicago, you can check out more OCP co-conspirators, Russell Lissau and collaborator John Bivens , who will both be guests at this second annual Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (lovingly known as C2E2).
• If you haven’t gotten sick of him yet, Lissau will also be appearing — after a month’s delay — at Comix Revolution in Mt. Prospect, Ill., on March 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. with Trevor Mueller to celebrate the release of Hope: The Hero Initiative, which we have nothing to do with, but it’s a great book for a great cause and you should buy a copy now. And if you live near Chicago, go to the signing and have it signed. We’ll bet Lissau will also have a few copies of his contributions to OCP available as well.

• Jan. 21, Sunrise Coffee, Las Vegas – Pj Perez will be selling and signing copies of The Utopian at a benefit for Spread the Word Nevada from 5 to 8 p.m.
• Feb. 26, Comix Revolution, Mt. Prospect, Ill. – Omega Comics Presents contributor Russell Lissau will join  Trevor Mueller to promote Hope: The Hero Initiative, a benefit for the Hero Initiative charity, from 2 to 4 p.m.
• March 18-20, Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, Chicago – Russell Lissau and OCP collaborator John Bivens will both be guests at this second annual comic fest.
• April 16-17, Stumptown Comics Fest, Portland, Ore. – Pj Perez will be exhibiting at the Northwest’s largest creator-focused comic book convention all weekend.
• May 26-29, Phoenix Comicon, Phoenix – Tales from the Boneyard contributors F. Andrew Taylor and Pj Perez will be holding court in the small press section of the Southwest’s biggest pop culture convention.

Southern Californians, be warned: Pop! Goes the Icon publisher/cheerleader/emo comic pioneer Pj Perez is coming to Long Beach Comic Con, and there’s nothing you can do to stop him!

Stop by Artist Alley table #2104, and get your hands on all sorts of offerings from the PGTI universe, including every issue to date of The Utopian, Omega Comics Presents, and if you’re nice, a sneak preview of our newest title, Tales from the Boneyard, as well as the usual freebies. Have Perez scribble his illegible autograph all over your comics, sketchbooks and children. Bring extra cash, and maybe he’ll even draw poorly rendered sketches for beer money.

It all goes down at the Long Beach Convention Center in the heart of Long Beach, Calif., from Friday, Oct. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 31. That’s right, kids — it’s Halloween weekend. What better way to spend it than among the freaks and geeks at a comic con?

Jason Copland, who illustrated Dino Caruso’s short story “(All We Are Saying Is) Give Pizza a Chance” in the debut issue of Omega Comics Presents, will be at the PGTI table starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13. Jason’s a crazy talented artist whose work has been most recently featured in Image Comics’ Perhapanauts: Molly’s Story. He’ll be on hand to chat with folks, draw things, sign stuff, and generally keep PGTI publisher Pj Perez company.

As an added bonus, we’re going to give away the two pages of Jason’s original art from “Give Pizza a Chance.” Anyone stopping by the PGTI table who signs up for our mailing list will receive one free raffle ticket, and if you buy any of our comics or prints, you get two raffle tickets!
