This has been a laughably bad week.
First, a crack developed in the floor of our master bathroom shower. That required replacement of the entire unit, which meant me having to be available for the maintenance guy. I blocked out Tuesday morning for that, but it took longer than expected because the unit he bought didn’t fit right, so it stretched out into another five hours on Wednesday.
While all this was happening, I ran short of some vital supplies at Creation Forge Studios, which shouldn’t have been a problem, because I rush-ordered backups last week. But turns out the supplier didn’t mark my request as a rush, so as of this writing, I STILL haven’t received said supplies.
In the midst of this, we needed maintenance on a machine that ended up hijacking my entire Tuesday afternoon…and made me miss an appointment (a loose one, to be fair) for a call regarding a potential new gig.
Then yesterday, a double-whammy: We lost a bidding war for a house we really wanted to buy, and then last night, one of our dogs started limping for no obvious reason, so I’ll be taking her to the vet this afternoon.
On top of all this, my allergies have been making life generally unpleasant thanks to spring kicking off early here in Las Vegas.
And then while contemplating how badly this week has gone off the rails, I pumped hand soap onto my fresh, clean shirt, thanks to the runny liquid soap the cleaning folks replaced my good stuff with.
I need some good news, you guys. Help me out here.
